This is our friend, Joe. We met him at Walter Reed and have gotten to
know him as he and my husband have raced hand cycles together in several
marathons. He is an awesome guy and an incredible athlete and truly
deserves to win this Sports Illustrated contest. I would really
appreciate it if you could all watch the video and vote for him (you can
vote once a day if you are so inclined
) If he wins he is even donating half the prize to the
Achilles Freedom Team,
as they are the ones that have put him and so many other disabled vets
on the road to a being truly all that they can be! If any of you have
even run a marathon- just imagine what it must be like to do it with
your ARMS! That's what hand cycling is- truly amazing, truly
